since i found out about this comic this morning, i have bench read from chapter 1 until here (in my office when i’m supposed to be working lol),
I must say you did a very good job. Take your time doing it and coming out with an awesome story instead of rushing things, nothing good comes out from rushing so just chillax a little bro… keep it up !

Okay, so this is what I’m seeing so far in this MMO (you guys might know this but whatever): Lu is an npc who used to be a villain, maybe a special boss or side quest, and something in the game maybe glitched her or she got intelligent and started to get OP and kill all these npcs and gamers. Rando and crew come and survive her attack as we saw in the last few chapters, and they let her come with them. This is why they are so mindful and protective of the npcs because of Lu, and possibly npcs are more intelligent than they seem but are just doing their job in the game. That’s my view so far. Keep up the super-awesome work, Rando!
Emperor C’s a late comer, but is happy you got so much done, but, seein gap tween 7-8 (april-oct) C assumes chap 8 pt 2 (& more!!) be next yr!?

Good chapter, however… This chapter had really poor backgrounds. About 50% of the panels were just white blank with shading and little white sparkles. Other 35%? panels had a very simplistic backgrounds with obvious use of the line tool. Like when mike was sitting on the boxes or the fountain looking very flat at page 18 and 22. Line tool isn’t bad, but using it too many times on many backgrounds makes it seem cheap. You’d get what I mean if you look at page 7 finale panel. I think the best backgrounds were on the first page and second page. The first panels of the first two pages had really nice perspective and details put into them. Take a look at chapter 6 backgrounds and you would see a huge drop in the quality compared to this chapter. This really all sounds too harsh. I don’t mean to discourage Rando at all, and I know that he makes these simplistic/blurry backgrounds to save time and release chapters quicker. Meanwhile the characters were excellent! I can see rando putting most of his effort into the characters rather than the background. At the end, I just hope chapter 9 have better backgrounds than this one. I am not asking for something as bizarre as chapter 6, but anything that’s better than this chapter. Overall this chapter was good plotwise and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Am guessing our little cast is going to become badass outlaws!
Backgrounds also serve a purpose Cakebuns. They aren’t there just to fill space, though that’s often what they are used for. You don’t need to have a background in every panel nor should you.
Backgrounds, especially detailed ones, draw attention away from the characters. They fill up space and make the focus of a panel seem smaller whereas a blank white background with a little shading and some sparkles is really good for setting a tone and drawing attention to the characters who are very colorful. You see stuff like this a lot in Manga with action lines and whatnot. It all serves a purpose on top of being a huge time sink to draw.
So the next time you’d like to spend most of a comic looking a pretty backgrounds instead of getting sucked into a story go look at a celebrity magazine. There’s so much shit in those that draws the eye I don’t know how people can focus on anything at all.
The backgrounds were fine you’re just complaining for no reason.
Still updates more often than Berserk. I love this comic, please never stop.
