Well, as the title says, I’m going on a hiatus. (If I can call it that.)
How ironic that I just came back too, I know.
Don’t misunderstand though, I’m not taking a break or anything.
‘Pssh, Rando don’t need no break.’
Anyways,
The reason behind this hiatus, is so that I can focus 110% on finishing up Chapter 6 of ‘We Live In An MMO?!”.
Honestly, eversince I missed my intended release date for Chapter 6 back in June, I’ve had one fear for this chapter; that it will take half a year or more for it to be released. Being stuck in the hospital for those 5 days made me feel even more convinced that I should be doing something to finish up this chapter ASAP.

For me, personally, taking more than 6 months for a single ‘MMO?!’ chapter is unacceptable. It’s way too long of a waiting period for you guys, and unfortunately for Chapter 6, it’s already reaching that undesired goal.
I’ve always tried to maintain the 3 month period in-between chapters, not only to discipline myself as a creator, but to also ensure that a reasonable amount of MMO content would be released annually.
Could you imagine if only 2 chapters of MMO were released in an entire year?
That’s just insane! That’s irresponsible!
And if this keeps up, 2017 might be that year!
What’s next? 1 chapter a year?!
SO WHAT HAPPENS NOW?
Basically, I’m going to temporarily stop everything else; meaning weekly comics, doodles, art and animations.
I’ll be completely focusing on finishing Chapter 6, and Randowis is going to be quiet for a while, therefore the ‘hiatus’.
DOES THAT MEAN US PATRONS WILL GET NOTHING?!
As a matter of fact, I’m doubling the charge!
And if you did take the previous statement seriously..
I’ve already disabled patron-charges for the month of September, meaning that no-one is going to be charged on the 4th September 2017.
If I make nothing, you give nothing.
(If you do get charged on the 4th of September for some reason, drop me a DM(Direct Message) and we’ll resolve it together.)
I may be a perverted asshole, but I also try my best to be as honest and genuine as I can.
I know some of you genuinely want to support Randowis even if it means getting nothing in return (and for that, you have my deepest thanks), but I won’t allow myself to freeload off your generosity.
HOW LONG IS THIS GOING TO TAKE?
I can foresee this hiatus stretching for a month, maybe more.
I won’t be completely silent though.
I’ll make a ‘Chapter 6’ progress post on Patreon and keep you guys updated there.
I’ll also post on Twitter whenever a tweet-worthy post comes along as well.
To be fair, if this hiatus stretches into the 4th of October 2017, I’ll disable Patron-Charges for that month too.
I’ll do my best to NOT let it stretch that far though.
That’s pretty much it.
For those who look forward to weekly comics, doodles or anything Randowis basically, I hope you’ll forgive me for this ‘period of disappointment’.
Yeah, let’s call it that.

I know very well what it means to keep a personal promise to yourself and be true to your heart, so I won’t say to relax and not worry about it. You got to get this done and knock this mofo out with a KO as hardcore as the one that Dolph Lundgren used to put Sylvester Stalone in a week long coma!
After that, kick back and relax and take it easy. Work hard and play hard. Make sure you are doin what you need to do, that you love yourself and who you are.

Seeing this and remembering how I just asked you to serialize “we live in a mmo” in a monthly basis kinda makes me feel embarassed. To be honest I plan to release a comic book in the distant future as a personal project, and seeing how well drawn are your works I just can’t imagine how much effort you put into them, even more when the length of each chapter is astonishing.
At least now I see the ads on the website – maybe I’ll drop a dollar or two on your Patreon later on.
A lot of artists who have no boss or manager tends to fall into this “slump”, where they mentions the need for a break due to writing fatigue, and the break ended up ruining their motivation to continue the comic, which leads to their hard-earned website falling into disrepair; I’m glad Rando isn’t one of them.It’s a really good idea to take a hiatus to work on something else you’ve promised your patrons, and it’s definitely a good idea to not charge patrons for an entire month for the hiatus, since it will keep you on Rando on his feet and be more aware that taking breaks have costly consequences. As long as Rando is alert, focused and taking a nice breather every now and again, I’m sure Randowis comic will go far.

I love you so much because you’re so responsible with this kind of stuff! If you think it’s the best thing to do right now, I’ll be right behind you. I don’t blame you for taking so long on the next chapter of MMO, you add so much detail to the comics themselves that they will take a long time. Thanks for all the quality work!!

I really don’t care it takes a bit longer to complete, because chapter 1-5 are amazing and I know you want to make chapter 6 just as good.

P.S. Are you SURE you want to put a hold on Patreon for a month? You’re still technically working. A lot of patrons (including myself) don’t mind!
